Calvin's IJM Internship in D.C.

Inspired by God's call to love all people and seek justice for the oppressed, I want to join the fight against modern day slavery. An estimated 45+ million people are currently being trafficked, which is more than at any other point in human history.

International Justice Mission (IJM) is leading the way in combating the issue, with over $50 million in funds each year being directed to 17 field offices around the globe. IJM's mission is to protect the poor from violence by rescuing victims, bringing the criminals to justice, restoring survivors to safety and strength, and helping local law enforcement build a safe future that lasts.

This summer, I have been accepted as IJM's intern in the U.S. Strategic Partnerships department, where I'll be building and cultivating relationships with those who help IJM raise the $50 million it directs toward its endeavors each year. I am overjoyed to have such a lucrative opportunity at my dream organization in Washington, D.C., and I need your help to make it a reality.

In addition to my current off-line fundraising initiatives, I have decided to start a GoFundMe to reach additional individuals who would like to give. Everything received will be utilized during my unpaid summer internship to fund my housing, transportation, and other costs of living while in Washington, D.C. If desired, I can certainly send more details regarding my personal journey and role with the organization.
