Calvin's fight with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA)

Hi, my name is Melissa Owens. I am setting up this page for my son and finance and their son Calvin. Let me first say that Christian and Kayla are both aware of this page being set up and very appreciative for any consideration. Calvin is 3 years old and was diagnosed with JIA last year. Since then he has been on several different medicines, with allergic reactions. He was finally put on a medicine that seemed to work and about 4 weeks ago had a major flare up. Calvin was unable to walk and didn't want to eat or drink. Calvin was in the hospital for 3 weeks and some days, and came home. Calvin has a younger sister who is 2 and a younger brother who is 9 months old. Both parents, Christian and Kayla have been switching off with the hospital, which is a 2 hour drive away each direction, and trying to take turns working and spending time with their children. They are trying to be there for Calvin as well as providing for their other two children. When Calvin got home he was still not walking and very lethargic. Calvin was then readmitted to the hospital for another 3 days and sent home again. He is now back in the hospital in ICU with a swollen heart and fluid around his heart. His parents are doing the best to their ability to support in all aspects for their family. Please consider it in your heart to help this young family. Any consideration would be much appreciated.
