After a long battle with health our father Calvin Gardner completed his battle with organ failure. He fought strong and long and came out victorious now basking in the glory of God. This simple man of the south had a tremendously loving spirit, a huge heart, and adored his family. He didn’t come from much and never expected much, he appreciated anything done for him from big to small. I watched him fight day and night hanging on to hope for a new liver...he regularly mentioned that he is one of God’s chosen ones and although the wanted so dearly to make it to his 60th birthday this January God needed him sooner. We are devastated but want to show him honor by sending him off properly...He would be so gracious to see how the family comes together in his honor to send him off right. If the complete goal is raised we will have a repass and celebrate in his honor as he loved to have a good time, dance, laugh and enjoy family. I know that he will be with us in spirit! I ask that all of his family donate what you can as a going home gift to my Father that would do anything he could to help his family. This is our final act of kindness to him...the final hoorah! Thank you in advance for understanding during this very heavy time.
