Calvin Wright’s Road to Recovery ❤️

Hello! My name is Allison. Brandon and I have decided to try to raise money for his father, Calvin Wright. Here’s a little back story:

In mid Spring of 2022 Calvin began experiencing symptoms of vomiting after eating any type of food. Unfortunately these symptoms persisted and became rather aggressive. Sadly, in Early January of 2023 he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. One of the top 3 worst cancers to have unfortunately.

A team of doctors met and they discussed his treatment and he underwent months of everyday radiation and once a week chemo. The tumor did shrink, but not enough. Thursday, May 25th he endured a 13+ hour surgery to remove the tumor, and reshape his stomach, while also reattaching his esophagus. His surgery was the most complicated one the surgeon has ever had to do. He will now face a very difficult recovery of 8-12 weeks and his life will never quite be the same.

Anyone that knows Calvin or has ever met him knows that he is the most giving, caring, helpful, and just over all amazing person you will ever meet. He’s also the best grandpa our sweet Grayson could ask for. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone. When we need something, he is the first one to show up and help. He’s also the type of person who would never want pity or for anyone to feel sorry for him (also why he might be mad that we did this for him). He’s been positive throughout this entire ordeal and we want to help keep it that way.

Any small donation will help as he will be off work for an extended period of time and will also help with medical bills. We would love for him to be able to have no worries as he needs all this time to heal.
