FIGHT AGAINST POLICE INJUSTICE

PLEASE HELP ME IN THIS FIGHT FOR HIS FUTURE


"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?"

What kind of world do we live in when we ask a young man, who stumbled in on his mother being beaten away at senselessly?

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?"

Being threatened for his life at knife point for trying to be the peace?

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?"

Asking him that question seems so wrong to me, it’s like I’m blaming and judging him for getting himself tangled into a situation he had no control over.

But pause, it seems I’ve gone ahead of myself here and skipped the details. Who is he? And why should you care?

He is Calvin Osborne, a young spirited and willing jokester. Son of Shonnette Williams. The only brother to his family of 3 younger sisters and not to mention a newly father of 1 beautiful baby girl. I’m reaching out to you guys today not for myself but on behalf of someone without a voice.

 The date is 19th October,2020 and that goofy always smiling Calvin now looks unrecognizable. Swollen bruised and battered with inflicted stab wounds … empty… hollow. Looking made it hard to discern if this was the same boy. According to nation news, Calvin Osborne (21) 5ft 7, (130lbs) and his mother, Shonnette Williams (39) 5ft4 (200 lbs) was arrested for the murder of Gregory Adams (44), 5ft 11 (270+ lbs). In actuality what occurred that night was self-defense that led to the unfortunate end of a life. Shonnette was being abused to the point of near death when her son came bursting in and realized his mother was being beaten senseless. There is a current investigation going on to find out the inner details of what occurred that night. I would be glad to share his version of events, However his family are not even allowed to see him without forking out the cash for a lawyer just for visitation.I would have no problem if they did their jobs and pursue the truth righteously. However, the way they are going about it is downright despicable. What I know is what I have stated and thus far I don’t see why he deserves to be beaten mercilessly while being detained by those who we trust to protect and give justice! Why wasn't he treated for the several stab wounds he suffered due to the altercation?, before being detained, beaten and questioned for days? Why was he forced to tell tales of the event that transpired which are not words of his own, but words forced into him via body blows by brutes (police force)  just to fit their narrative? Why are Police punishing victims when they should be pursuing the truth in a more righteous and dignified manner!? No human being deserves to be treated this way ! This is not protection! Being painted as some hoodlum and thug to fit their narrative is not Serving! Calvin is not some thug! But a young man who steps up to the plate, slaving away long hours to provide a roof over his family’s head, food on the table for his little sisters to eat and money to make ends meet for his mother bills. If he’s not working, then he spends it alongside his mother on the hot sandy beaches of Barbados selling handmade jewelry to tourists making an honest dollar. He breaks his back to help anyone who asks, no matter if you are a stranger or friend. Now, does this sound like a no-good thug? I tell you these things only to express to you his character. He is an honest to God hardworking young lad with a future ahead of him. My condolences indeed for the deceased, a moment of silence if you will… … … … … But to allow Calvin to be sentenced to rot in prison for something in which he is falsely accused is a damn shame! It is not justice? and he deserves a fair trial!


This post is specifically for family! But this message goes out to all! THEY ARE ABUSING HIM IN DETAINMENT, THEY ARE STARVING HIM! COERCING HIM!!! He needs your help and support! They have pushed the court date to tomorrow without notifying the family!!! If Calvin gets sentenced for something he did not do and was beyond and out of his control especially for something as trivial as not enough money for a fair defense, Then we are to be blamed!!! We have not only failed him, but we have failed ourselves!!! What I am asking for may seem like a lot, but this is a life! A young one! a righteous one! A brave and selfless one!


PLEASE, We have to help him. In fact it’s our duty as his blood to help him to fight this injustice and be free to pursue life, just life we are doing right now in this moment.…He is alone and isolated being provoked , taunted and beaten every night while we stay tucked in bed, safe. Please y’all he has enough family to have his back, we are a big enough family . Right now, he is alone, wounded and looking down a dark tunnel. Let's be his light.

All the funds will go towards Calvin’s legal fees as well as his mother. Any extra will go towards food and utility bills for his daughter and 3 sisters who are left behind without a mother and a brother to pay for a roof over their head, food on the table and to keep their lights on.
