Calvin Mork was a college program Midshipman at Purdue University who later went on to commission in the Marine Corps through the PLC program.  1st Lieutenant Calvin Mork was currently serving as a platoon commander in the 2nd Combat Engineering Battalion at Camp Lejeune at the time of his passing.  Calvin Mork graduated from Purdue University in May of 2018  

The goal of this fundraiser is to preserve and further the legacy of Calvin Mork by creating a scholarship awarded to a Marine Midshipman in the Purdue NROTC battalion.  The award will be given to a college program MIDN demonstrating aptitude for service as an officer in the Marine Corps.  The candidate will be a sophomore who is considered highly motivated by his peers and the unit. 
This gofundme is aimed at providing the initial funds for the scholarship which will be awarded  every fall semester.   

A portion of the funds will be dedicated to buying a plaque with 1st Lieutenant Calvin Mork's Picture and biography to be forever immortalized in the Purdue NROTC and West Lafayette OSO's respective offices.
