The outpouring of love for Calvin and support for his family since Sunday has been remarkable. The community has been a bright light in a time of sorrow, graciously providing for many practical, spiritual and emotional needs. One practical need is for financial contributions to Calvin’s funeral service. Because of Calvin's severe disabilities, he was not eligible for life insurance which means funeral costs are the sole burden of the family. If you feel led to contribute to the costs associated with Calvin’s funeral, your generosity is deeply appreciated by his family.

Above all, the greatest need the Hughes family has is for heartfelt prayer to our Heavenly Father in petition of joy, comfort and peace that surpasses all understanding.

You are invited to join the family at Arn Funeral Home Rodney, 212 Furnival Rd Rodney, on Friday March 27 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Elgin International Club 11558 Kerr Rd. West Elgin on Saturday March 28, 2026 at 1:30 pm. Michael Sealy officiating. A luncheon will follow after the service. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
