Family and friends,
** UPDATE #2 **
We would like to say a massive THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for each and every donation that was made, for all the calls and text messages of support over the past few months. It certainly hasn't been easy. We were able to give Calvin the send off that he very much deserved, for that we are grateful!
We are now asking if family members can dig deep and consider donating what you can - to go towards Cal's tombstone. Let's make his place of rest, something beautiful.
Thank you!
**UPDATE**
We need your help now more than ever - with broken hearts we advise that Calvin grew his angel wings on the 14th January, 2025 at 7.03pm at the Mackay Base Hospital surrounded by loved ones.
I am putting together this go fund me account in hope that our loved family and friends can find generosity within their hearts to help us raise some very much needed funds in supporting our nephew, Calvin Butterworth-Quakawoot. We are hoping to be able to support him in giving him the best support and send off that he deserves. Also whatever funds remain will go towards supporting his children.
Calvin is 23 years old, and a Father to two beautiful children - Aniah and Kairo. On the 28th November 2024, Calvin was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphoma Cancer that had spread to his stomach and spine.
This devastating diagnosis meant that Calvin had limited time with us.
On Christmas Eve in the Royal Brisbane Hospital, Calvin’s oncologist informed us that Calvin had 1 month to live.
On the 28th December 2024, Calvin and I were transferred via LifeFlight to the Mackay Base Hospital as Calvin’s wish was to be closer to Family and friends. Calvin has spent a short time in the Mackay Base, however with no treatment available he has been discharged and is at home spending time with his Mum Delvene aswell as his siblings & family.
Many family and friends have reached out and come from near and far to spend time with Calvin, making many memories.
We as a family appreciate any contribution - big or small and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.
