Calumet Girls Basketball State Playoff Trip

The Calumet Girls Basketball team has won the MHSAA District and Regional Championship. The team is 19-0 and they are now advancing in the state playoffs.  The journey begins with the state quarterfinal game in Houghton Lake on Monday night to play 19-0 Maple City Glen Lake.  With a victory on Monday, the team would continue to East Lansing for a run at the State Championship.  We are asking for help to offset the cost of this endeavor.  It is expensive to travel.  Our costs for this potentially 7 day trip, include bussing, hotels, and meals.  From previous experience, we know that this trip will cost over $15,000.  The need is even greater this year as the MHSAA is not providing any expense reimbursement due to reduced revenue resulting from the pandemic.  Thank you for considering our request.
