Hello Everyone
I am setting up this fundraiser for the Notz family to help offset any medical cost, lost wages or for any other necessities regarding Cal’s healing. Nichole is a self-employed hair salon owner/stylist and currently Matt is on unpaid work leave. They have 3 wonderfully kind, well-behaved and well-mannered boys ( Bradyn, Asher and Calvin) Cal is 2 years old and is currently at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. He was admitted and diagnosed with Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome a disease caused by E.coli bacteria.
Cal has been at the children’s hospital for the past 2 months and has fought and overcome some huge obstacles. Although, Cal has overcome a lot of obstacles, there are plenty more that he and his family will have to overcome as they head home, hopefully soon. There will be numerous doctor appointments, Physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy appointments. He will have to go home with an NG tube(feeding tube). They are trying to fine tune Cal’s calorie and protein count in his feeds, drop off any meds they can and get trained up on how to replace, maintain and care for his NG tube. He will still need his seizure medication. There will also be travel costs, as the the hospital is an hour and a half away. While, we are all overjoyed at the fact that they will be coming home soon, their fight and journey is not over. There are insurmountable hospital and medical bills, everyday bills, cost of travel and everything in between that the family and Cal will need!! . In times like these, we feel helpless and are unsure of how we can help . I understand that lots of people are struggling, but if you could help donate, even the smallest amount would be greatly appreciated.
