Calon Heart External Defibrillator Penarth Bears

Currently at the Athletic Club in Penarth we have one Defibrillator inside the clubhouse which is great. The vision is to also have an external one, ideally two, that can be used 24/7 and is closer to where it may be needed for those playing sport be it rugby, cricket or just walking the dog or spectating.
Speed is of the essence should this be needed so we need more of these to be close to where people are. We have seen both locally and further afield recently how heart issues can affect anyone anytime whether a child playing sport or adults at professional level. I want to make sure if this happens here we can give the victim the maximum chance of survival. It would be a travesty to not have planned for this possibility.
£1300 will fund one Defibrillator & if we get £2600 raised we can install one either side of the ground - potentially one on the external gym wall and one at the cricket changing rooms. These will be in a lock box with a 999 call to release plus despatch an ambulance.
So what I'm asking is if you have a child or partner or know someone you care for that uses the Athletic ground please donate £5 today - more is also allowed if you can afford it!!
The cost of a drink will be the best investment you ever make if anyone needs this. Better still if you need it one day and have donated I will gladly refund whatever you donate so you will be alive for free! How's that?
