Callum’s Wish To Walk

Donation protected

Callum was at a friends house on the 20th of February 2017 when he suddenly collapsed and was rushed to hospital to later discover he had suffered a ruptured AVM to his brain stem.

An arteriovenous malformation (AVM) is an abnormal tangle of blood vessels connecting arteries and veins, which disrupts normal blood flow and oxygen circulation.

Callum would not have known he had theAVM until it ruptured and tore his world in two.

Callum had to learn to talk, eat & drink, move and stand up all over again and it has been a huge journey so far.

He now lives in a supported living accommodation in Bristol and has half an hour physio a week as he is no longer able to be funded for intensive physio.

He can currently stand independently on a standing aid with a carer to support when transferring. He also has been given an electric wheelchair to promote his independence as he cannot walk.

Callum hasn’t been able to come home for 4 years and his dream is to be able to walk and after all of this time be able to put one food in front of the other.

We are raising money for Callum to be able to have access to private Neuro physio that us as a family cannot fund completely.

Callum will be able to gain access to specialist equipment that help him gain his strength even more and mimic walking.

We cannot give up and we won’t. Anything is possible if you try and that’s exactly what we want to do.

Make his dream come true ❤️

Please share and donate if you are able too and join us in getting “Callum’s Wish To Walk” out there.

Myself , Callum and the rest of Callum’s Family thank you for reading his story.
