Callum’s London Marathon - For Mum!
Hi All, my name is Callum Urquhart. In October, I will be running the London Marathon 2022, in memory of my mum, Ruth Urquhart.
Unfortunately, in July 2021, we lost my mum to Stage 4 Breast Cancer. She was the most amazing, giving and loving person, which is why I find it suiting to run this marathon for a charity that reiterates my mums values and aims to ensure that Breast Cancer is defeated.
Those who know me, will know that I am not a runner, nor would I ever claim to be, however I want to challenge myself and achieve something that I know my mum would be so proud of and try to make a difference to the world, even if it is a small difference. This will help me feel close to my mum through the gruelling months that are to come and create purpose to my training!
Any donations are hugely appreciated. I thought I would get the ball rolling early before it is too late to back out.
This is something that will stick with me forever and will help out the many people who have suffered loss and pain from this awful disease. I would like to thank Breast Cancer Now for giving me this opportunity!
Lots of Love,
Cal x
