Callum Amongst Strangers is an upcoming short film filming in March 2026, written and directed by San Diego based filmmaker Robert Carver.
The film follows Callum, a man who after a recent break up has relocated to San Diego. Alone in a new city, he returns night after night to a neighborhood bar, where brief conversations with strangers become his only sense of community. But as old wounds resurface and the deafening silence at home grows heavier, Callum’s life begins to quietly unravel.
This story explores the fragile line between coping and collapse, and how small moments of connection can make all the difference.
