Calli’s Village: Let’s Lighten the Load During Chemo
(With Love, Childcare, and a Whole Lot of Heart)
Hi friends, family, and generous souls,
We’re raising funds for someone who would never ask for herself — our beloved Calli. She’s currently navigating her third round of chemo in just 2.5 years, all while being a single mom to two energetic six-year-old boys. She’s doing it with grit, grace, and the kind of humor that somehow makes you laugh and cry at the same time.
Now, let’s be honest: chemo is brutal. Kids are chaos. And doing both at once? That’s a full-blown drama/comedy/action movie — without commercial breaks or stunt doubles.
Despite it all, Calli does what she always does — keeps her chin up, finds humor in the madness, and shows up with love for her boys and everyone around her. But even superheroes need sidekicks.
Why We’re Here:
As her closest friends — her soulmates — we’ve been lucky enough to walk through 14 years of life, laughter, and love with Calli. And right now, she needs her village more than ever.
Calli was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer in November 2022, just a few years after adopting her twin sons, Parker and William. Being a mom was her dream — one she fought hard to make a reality. And now, she’s in the fight of her life to stay here with them.
We’re raising funds to cover reliable part-time childcare — so that during chemo weeks, long days, and unpredictable moments, Calli can rest, recover, and focus on healing, knowing her boys are cared for and safe.
Where the Funds Will Go:
Child care before and after school
>> Support during school breaks and holidays
>> Coverage on chemo weeks, when rest isn’t optional
>> Peace of mind in the midst of uncertainty
The average cost of childcare in Austin is $20,000 per child, per year. That’s a huge number for any family — and an impossible one for a single mom navigating treatment.
Our goal is to create a reliable safety net — something simple but powerful: consistent, loving help that shows up for her boys, so Calli can keep showing up for herself.

With all the love,
