“It takes a village” Numbers 11:1-17

The epitome of strength, wisdom and so much more. We are in Gods favor because he continues to bless us. Kim Riley, a Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Friend and over all Confidant. I would not be who and where I am if it were not for her and many can testify to this. She believes in the principles of life. Especially truth and gratitude. My mom has poured into a numerous amount of people not expecting a thing in return other than being able to see others one day stand on their own and win.

She never gives up nor gives in, growing up I would question and feel embarrassed when she confronted or even talked to someone in public demanding respect. Now because of this I know how to fight for what’s right and also how to make friends with my neighbor. By watching her navigate through life she has taught me an abundance of qualities that gets me through my every day life. I’m extremely grateful to have been raised by this amazing woman.

There are many battles we try to combat alone and lose sight of the army waiting aside and behind us. Today I want to call on my Moms Army. We know that this ugly disease called Cancer has attacked her more than once and she has fought back relentlessly each and every time.

No easy fight but she has been victorious each time. But GOD!

Though she has won the medical battle and is doing well today. Unfortunately she has encountered some financial hardships along the way. During her time out of work, bills have accumulated and set her back financially. I am reaching out to her army and anyone who can find it in their heart to help her get back to a space of stability, As my mother continues her journey of healing, I know that this help would allow her to do so without the stress of finances weighing heavy on her.

It wasn’t easy for me to ask for this help but the love that I have for her and everything she has been to me guided me to this. I know if I needed it she too would call on our village.
