Calling Jacy's Village - HELP! #Jacysvillage

Donation protected
Recently, Jacy found herself in a situation that nobody should ever have to endure. She is in desperate need of her village - can you help?

In search of: people who are kind, supportive, hard-working, honest, giving, and loving - people like Jacy! GOOD PEOPLE!!

Hi, I'm Kristi, and Jacy is a part of my village. Just a few days ago, Jacy found herself in the middle of a motor vehicle collision. She was rushed to the hospital where she was treated and admitted for multiple injuries. Tragically, her boyfriend, Drake, didn't make it. Although devastated, Jacy is incredibly grateful that she is alive and able to continue being a mother to her two precious children, Ladli and Anteres.

The collision occurred last Thursday night when they were driving home on Drake's motorcycle. A lady traveling in the opposite direction turned in front of them - they had no time to maneuver out of the way. It appears as if the car struck the left side of Jacy, Drake, and the motorcycle. The numerous cuts, bruises, and blisters on Jacy's left side confirm this. Though Jacy's injuries go far past the superficial... the more extensive damage includes two broken ribs, a bruised lung, multiple lumbar fractures in the spine and currently undiagnosed leg and knee issues. She is waiting for the swelling in her leg to subside before she sees an orthopedic doctor; in the meantime, she has some difficulty walking, sitting, and getting up from her injured leg and because of all the bruising in/injury to her hip.  She continues to debris shards of glass from the deep abrasions covering her body. Her helmet saved her life.

During this time, Jacy's first priority is (and should be) her recovery. Her work demands agility and physical labor - neither of which she will be able to perform for some time. But the levels of emotional trauma will likely last far after her last bruise fades. So I call to you, Jacy's village, to help her through some of her darkest hours.

Why am I helping Jacy? Because she is an amazing person, and the last two years of my life have been so much brighter with her in it! Jacy is a rare breed - she is loyal and hard-working. She is respectful and honors people. Her authenticity and intelligence are matched only by her fun spirit and willingness to learn. But I am here, on Gofundme, because she needs the financial help, and she is so worth it.

Drake, like her, did not have any family. He was building one through friends, including Jacy. She is just beginning to try sorting out his affairs, but it's a complex and exhaustive situation. Jacy doesn't like to take anything from others. She earns everything she gets. I am doing my best to make her realize that she has also earned all the love and support that she is getting right now. I believe that you get out of the world what you put into it, and Jacy has put in more than her fair share of compassion and service.

Joining Jacy's village is about identifying with the good in the world. It's about serving others - a big part of who Jacy is. It's about taking eyes off of the self and making a difference in someone's life - a life that has been preserved for a REASON. By helping her through this healing process, you can be a part of Jacy discovering that reason.
Joining Jacy's village is about hope - hoping for the best and believing that someone's upbringing does not define them. Being a part of Jacy's village is saying YES to kindness, caring, and sticking up for one another. It's about helping a young woman know that she is worth the compassion of a perfect stranger. Pay it forward. Who knows? Maybe one day you will be the one who needs the village.

Please consider making a donation and actively joining Jacy's village! Any amount of money makes a difference - even $1. Jacy is not a materialistic person, but regularly shows value in people and experiences with them. She is a giver and not used to accepting things when offered. But together, we can show her that there is nothing wrong with asking for a little help.

Let's make a difference in Jacy's life together.

Thank you. Take care, and blessings to you!

With love,
Kristi

P.S. The money we raise for Jacy will cover living expenses for the immediate future, her phone, some food for her and her two children and transportation costs (like Uber or bus) to doctor's visits and physical therapy for who knows how long (she does not have a car). Any funds raised beyond the $5000 will then be directed toward paying for costs associated with burial/funeral expenses for Drake.

P.P.S. Do you have a story to share of when someone helped you in a time of need? Please tell us about it - how did that feel? What kind of difference did it make to you? I invite you to share your story with us in the comments section of this page.
