Calling all Wycombe fans - we need your help! ¡Ayúdanos!

As many of you know, we are proud to have grown a strong friendship with the La Media Inglesa community in Spain and beyond - a large group of avid football fans who have developed an affiliation with the Chairboys through La Media Inglesa’s YouTube channel over the last few years.

Together, across multiple countries throughout the world, including the UK, Spain, Mexico, and Argentina, we have celebrated some memorable times as Wycombe fans. The La Media Inglesa fans have been with us at Adams Park against Sheffield Wednesday in the run up to our playoff final against Sunderland, at Wembley Stadium for that same play-off final, and at the last game of the season in 2023 against Portsmouth - playing their part in a phenomenal atmosphere every time. Their scarf displays and songs are still the talk of many fans to this day.

And now, they need support from the rest of the Wycombe family.

Part of the Wycombe family in need

Many months ago, the La Media Inglesa fans booked their trips to Wycombe for the home clash against Derby on 6th April… however, plans have changed just a bit! Now, the change of date and kick-off time from the original plan means that sadly some fans won’t be able to stay for the final, or will have to leave during the game to catch flights home.

While the club have helped the group find alternative entertainment for the Saturday, it’s a great shame that many won’t be with us at Wembley, and worse than that, there’s a £7,000 bill to cover to change flights for those who can stay for the final.

The trip organisers at La Media Inglesa have done everything they can to make this a special trip for those taking part, and to help make sure Wycombe Wanderers have the best possible support of the Spanish supporters at Wembley Stadium.

How you can help

We’re asking the Wycombe family to rally together to crowdfund the money needed to cover the shortfall of the rearranged plans. While some of the supporters - who’ve already spent more than £350 each on the trip – may be able to contribute to the shortfall themselves, we want to do what we can to make it easier.

The club and the 1887 are working together to support the La Media Inglesa fans. The 1887 has been working to fundraise for additional banners (and potentially some flags) ahead of the big day, but will focus on supporting La Media Inglesa too. The club, La Media Inglesa, and the 1887, have agreed that any funds raised left over from helping cover the shortfall will go towards atmosphere-boosting items that the 1887 is attempting to raise funds for. This means that the additional money will be invested into making sure the Wembley weekend is as enjoyable as possible for all Wanderers supporters.

So, can you make a contribution to help ensure that everyone in the La Media Inglesa community can be with us at Wembley?
