Calling all Paws! Koda’s path to recovery.

My name is Taylor Walsh. My beautiful 6 year old daughter is Delilah. We live in Quincy, Massachusetts with my significant other Anthony Stasio, two cats and our beloved family dog, Koda. Koda is our 1 year old Chow mix who we got the day before Valentine’s Day February 2024. Koda fit right in from the moment we got him. Koda is gentle, intuitive, strong, and playful. Koda is the most loyal dog who has forever imprinted on our hearts. One of our favorite things about Koda is his independence. Anyone who has met Koda knows how excited he gets when he sees other dogs and people - he is so playful.
Koda is a member of our family. He is not only Delilah and Anthony’s best friend, he also accompanies Anthony to work everyday. Koda goes everywhere with our family. Our morning routine during the week is consistent. Koda knows the phrase “ready to go to work”. Koda loves going to work with Anthony. Unfortunately, tragedy struck us this week. It was a normal day for us, Anthony and Koda dropped Delilah off at school and headed to work like they do every day. As they were arriving at the job site, Koda saw another dog walking with his owner and he was overly excited wanting to play, Koda jumped from the truck out the window to try to play with the other dog he saw. Thank goodness he is okay, it could have been a much MUCH worse outcome. We want to do anything that we can to save Kodas foot. He is a young, spry, active & healthy dog. Saving his foot is an option right now but we need to act quickly and vigilantly. This is going to be a long road for our family. The vet bills are extremely expensive. We have a goal and if we go over our goal, the remaining money will be donated to the New England wildlife center. We are doing this to help our family. Koda is a member of our family and we desperately want to help him and give him the comfortable life that he deserves. If you can not donate at this time, absolutely no worries, a “share” and a “prayer” is just as good. We gratefully appreciate any support, prayers, and donations towards kodas journey to a safe recovery.
