CALLING ALL FRIENDS OF DAVE RICHARDS
Donation protected
Recently a dear friend, Dave Richards, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Following a biopsy, he was told he is a candidate for a lifesaving procedure called a Whipple surgery. The procedure is long, invasive, requires a long recovery time and is extremely expensive. Still caught in the life-changing whirlwind that comes with this diagnosis, Dave was terminated from his job to which he dedicated 22 years, leaving him without medical insurance.
Dave is a friend, a loving husband, a good man, a proud father of three and an even prouder grandfather of two grandsons. I’ve known Dave for 12 years, having met him and his wife, Missy at our summer camp. I have always known him to be gracious, caring, loving and extremely hard-working and dedicated to his employer. I can’t say it enough, Dave is “one of the good ones.”
Dave has made us all laugh until we were breathless and was always the most gracious host at camp get-togethers. He and Missy would spare no expense to host lavish cookouts, baked potato nights, and loads of shrimp offerings and always stocked everyone’s favorite adult beverages. Truly some of the best times shared with our camp family revolved around Dave and Missy at the Richard’s roaring fires!
Now it’s time to support our friends, our camp family and an amazing couple as they face the most painful, frightening and life-altering challenge of their lives.
All donations are appreciated! We all know Dave is a proud man who has always taken care of everyone else. While I’m sure he is not thrilled about being the recipient of help, it’s what friends do. We can all pitch in to help him and Missy get over this speed bump!!! I can’t wait to hear “Fire at Richards” when Dave has conquered this hurdle!!!!!
Please keep Dave and Missy, and their entire family, in your thoughts and donate what you can.
