Callie’s cancer treatment journey
Donation protected
Hi. My wife, Callie, has been diagnosed with Advanced Cervical Cancer stage 3C1. After experiencing unexpected pelvic pain, and scheduling a medical consult, a 4cm tumor was found in August. The oncologist advised surgery to remove the tumor was not an option, and recommended chemo one day a week, and radiation five days a week. Callie is a stay at home wife/mom to our 5 children. Thankfully she has medical insurance but the co pays and doctor visits, labs, scans, fuel costs and bills are pilling up. We have exhausted our savings, credit cards, and I am the sole provider for our family - working full time as a Firefighter/Paramedic. I have had to take off work to be there for her appointments and chemo days - to drive her due to the side effects. I’m having to pay for all her copays and fees out of pocket, while having bills go passed due. Treatments have made her daily activities hard - with exhaustion and fatigue from treatments. (she tries her best to do things and it’s been rough). I’m doing my best to not worry. I take care of a lot, and with help from family - even though she pushed herself to do things. She has been my rock the past 20yrs and is a wonderful mother and present figure to many cousins, nieces and nephews. She has been there for everyone and let’s be there for her in this fight. The funds will be used for all medical bills and remainder of treatment costs.
