Ryley (Calley's brother), explains it best:

Yesterday at noon, the kids and I were headed to the lake for my birthday. I noticed I had 6 missed calls from one of Calley's friends. Calley was supposed to be on a "one last ride" that she organized for one of her friends who passed away in a motorcycle accident. I called her friend back, and she told me Calley had been in a motorcycle accident going up over Trappers Loop.

At that point, nobody knew anything. I drove as fast as I could to Ogden Regional. When I got there, they were doing a CT scan and assessing her. After all the X-rays and scans, they found that she broke her back in 2 places. She also has a fractured shoulder, a broken arm, a broken tibia that got shoved into her kneecap, shattered her patella, fractured wrist, 3 broken ribs, and a punctured lung.

Today, she's doing better. They have to operate on her leg but can't until the punctured lung heals. They are talking about sending her home after they get her pain management under control to allow the punctured lung to heal.

Yesterday definitely wasn't a great day, although we are all grateful that she's still with us. She's got a long road of recovery ahead of her, but we will all pull together and make sure she heals up as fast as possible.

We need help with all the medical bills, building a ramp, etc. Anything and everything helps. ❤
