My Leap of Faith: YWAM Mazatlán 2026
I’ve been wrestling with this tension between logic and faith. Logic told me to stay comfortable. I had just got a job at Starbucks, and with their college program, everything felt “safe.” But God had other plans.
Since August, I kept feeling Him call me to step deeper into ministry, to be trained and sent out to reach others with His love. Honestly, I tried to push it aside. I thought, How could I afford ministry school with no job, no guarantees, and no security? My faith in God’s provision began to feel small.
But then, God started confirming His call in undeniable ways. At a SEND night, I felt that same stirring... the unmistakable voice of God saying, “Go where I’ve asked you to go. I will provide where I’ve called you.” That same night a friend prayed over me, and God spoke through him directly to me. Days later, two missionaries (who I had never met before) prayed over me and spoke the same exact thing: “Take the leap of faith.”
And so, I said yes.
On September 5, 2025, I got the call: I’ve been accepted into YWAM Mazatlán’s Discipleship Training School (DTS), starting January 3, 2026! This 5-month journey includes 3 months of training in Mazatlán and 2 months of international outreach, where I’ll be serving and sharing the Gospel in other nations.
This is the biggest step of faith I’ve ever taken. But I believe with all my heart that God is asking me to trust Him, and part of that is inviting others to partner with me.
Here’s the breakdown of what I need to raise:
Training School (3 months): $4,200
Outreach (2 months): up to $5,500
Living/Personal Needs: $800
Total Goal: $10,500–$11,000
I know God provides through His people, and I’d be so honored if you would prayerfully consider supporting me. Whether financially, through prayer, or by sharing my story. Every gift, no matter the size, is a seed sown into this mission to further His Kingdom.
Thank you for believing in me, and most importantly, in what God is doing through this step of faith. I can’t wait to keep you updated on this journey!
With so much love + gratitude,
Briana von Prisk
