We are approaching the last leg of the journey to get Carl and his family to the US. We need your help. With tickets, visas, and lawyer fees I estimate it will come in over 15k but that is what I am asking for help with. No big speeches. Please donate or share with as many people as you can. During the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, almost two years ago, hundreds of thousands of Afghans, who had opposed the brutal regime of the Taliban, were suddenly placed directly in harm's way. The man referred to by many as “Carl,” was at the airport attempting to get his then-pregnant wife and daughter onto one of the evacuating planes to safety. The bomb went off and his family, while unharmed, never made it aboard the plane.

During the Global War on Terror, Carl helped the U.S. military as a translator for over a decade. After Afghanistan was handed back to the Taliban, he and his family suddenly became targets of the state. They were hunted with the intent to torture and execute his entire family. With the help of allies and non-government organizations in the U.S., Carl and his family were able to evacuate, along with hundreds of other refugees, across the border into Pakistan. The intent was to keep everyone in safe houses until they could be relocated to a safe country to start a new life. Sadly, this plan fell to the agendas of individuals attempting to profit off human suffering; the exit was set up to fail and pull as much money as possible from it.

A few of us took it upon ourselves to keep the U.S. promise to get these families to safety. After almost two years of dedicated work, we have finally succeeded in getting Carl and his family to safety, but our efforts are far from finished. It’s easy for any of us to get wrapped up in celebration, fatigued from over a year of trying and failing. We all want to pat ourselves on the back and say mission accomplished, but there is still work to be done. We still need to get Carl and his family set up for a viable new life, and there are many more families, and individuals, who helped safeguard Americans who remain behind and desperately need our help.

I am asking for your help, both in getting Carl and his family set up with an independent life, as well as supporting us as we continue to relocate displaced families that operated as allies to Americans and were left behind. 100% of donations go directly to getting these families and individuals to safe haven and set up to begin new lives with the opportunity to hit the ground running. Funds are used for filing the necessary paperwork to acquire visas, transportation, education, and basic living expenses until such reasonable time as they can provide for themselves. The families are comprised of men, women, and children.
