Call for Kōkua : Home Rebuild
Aloha my name is Justin Vierra, one of five siblings in our household. On August 18, 2021 our family’s house in Kahalu’u unexpectedly caught on fire and burned down. We thank God that no one was inside at the time and we are safe from harm. We thank our first responders for their quick action in putting out the fire and keeping our neighbors safe from the flames. Our father dedicated his life to the community with 28 years in the Honolulu Police Department. Our parents sacrificed so much for us when we were growing up and worked tirelessly and humbly, saving up to buy the house that we were all raised in. To see our childhood home go up in flames was devastating but we will remain in high spirits and keep close with our ʻohana and community. Mahalo to everyone who called , texted, brought us food , water, and toiletries and were there for us during this tragedy. We appreciate the overwhelming aloha and support for our ‘ohana during this time. We humbly ask for your kōkua during this time to rebuild , reconnect, and start anew.
