HELP EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS IN TURKEY

As two powerful earthquakes struck Turkey’s southeast on Monday, many residential buildings simply collapsed, as if compressed like accordions, trapping residents under huge piles of debris.
The death toll from Monday's devastating earthquakes has soared past 7,000 and is expected to rise. Desperate rescue efforts continue in the rubble of southern Turkey and northern Syria, hampered by aftershocks and frigid conditions.

Survivors are facing many challenges including being able to find shelter in below-freezing temperatures, access food, clean water, and medicine in the aftermath of the Southern Turkey earthquake. Eventually, the need will shift to reconstruction efforts in the area once those immediate needs are met and we will need to raise funds to provide short-term housing to those who lost their homes.
My immediate family is only one of these families who lost their homes to this horrible disaster.
My brother-in-law Ozcan Ikiz and his family of four were residents of Antakya (Hatay). Antakya has been reduced to rubble and their apartment collapsed during the earthquakes, leaving them without a shelter for the foreseeable future. He and his family are currently living out of their car in this severe weather and are in major need of shelter and relief.
Another family member, my sister Nasibe Kuyuk and her family of
three were residents of Kahramanmaras, our hometown. Kahramanmaras is the epicenter of the quake in Turkey and suffered major losses. Her apartment was heavily damaged during the earthquake and will need to be rebuilt.

We are grateful that they were able to reach safety in time but it pains me to hear about their current conditions.
Kahramanmaras is my hometown and many of my relatives/friends
are suffering from similar losses and are in immediate need in the area. I am setting up this gofundme to raise funds for them to access necessities in the near future and provide short-term housing for them to find some normalcy again. I will help them directly so that they can start rebuilding their lives. We will share updates on the campaign page and provide receipts after the donations reach their hands and be used for housing and relief purposes.
