Audrey Siegl has been raising her voice for those who cannot speak for over a decade through her activism and community leadership. She is a warrior who advocates for the protection of Indigenous women, water and land. Audrey has dedicated her work to sharing her unique medicine, magic and love with our community.
On November 14th Audrey's Vancouver home flooded following extreme rainfall. Her home now has mold throughout and will need to be professionally cleaned. Her physical health is compromised as she has rheumatoid arthritis and allergies to mold. The flood is the latest in a series of incidents that have affecter her health and ability to work.
Audrey has survived multiple tragic losses of loved ones throughout her life and has worked collecting testimonies for the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. Surviving these life events and vicarious traumas has caused her to experience Complex PTSD flashbacks . Her counsellor and physician have advised Audrey to take a month off of work to rest and focus on healing and she hopes to be able to do so as soon as possible.
Audrey is an incredibly loving, generous and humble person who notoriously puts the care of others before herself. She is now in need of our love and community support so that she may heal. We are hoping to raise funds to cover the cost of professional mold cleaning, air purifiers and to offset living costs for one month.
If you are in a place of being able to donate please share what you can and know that you are enabling Audrey to receive the care that she needs in order for her to be able to return to her heartfelt call to lift up the voice of others.
