CALIGULA - A Modern Tragedy - Student Film Fundraiser
Donation protected
Hi everyone!
I'm Romina, a filmmaker and student at the American University of Rome, and I’m currently working on my final thesis film, a modern reinterpretation of Caligula, inspired by Albert Camus’ play. This project is incredibly close to my heart, blending psychological drama, absurdist themes, and the chaos of modern ambition.
The story follows Martin, a young actor-director spiraling into madness as he stages a play about Caligula, blurring the lines between art and reality. It's a bold, emotional journey, one that speaks to obsession, grief, and the cost of creativity.
We’ve built a passionate team of emerging talents, and we’re ready to bring this vision to life. But as with any film project, we need help to cover essential costs like:
1- Equipment rental
2- Location permits
3- Feeding our cast and crew
4- Post-production and festival submissions
Though this is a university project, I’m committed to running it as professionally as possible. I’ve also launched an Indiegogo campaign, but I wanted to open a GoFundMe as well for those who prefer supporting through this platform.
If you believe in supporting independent cinema, young artists, and raw storytelling , please consider donating.
Every contribution, big or small, makes a huge difference. And even just sharing the link helps us reach more hearts.
Thank you so much for being part of this journey.
With love,
