California or Bust; a black burlesque journey

I have been awarded a scholarship to take 5 weeks of extensive dance classes with Miss Marquez at Empowerment in Heels based in Los Angeles California. This opportunity to travel and learn from someone I've admired for years is a dream come true but I need your help. Anything you donate will help me get closer to my dream. It's not cheap rooming in LA for 5 weeks, and that doesn't include the cost of a rental car ($1300), food, gas, my plane ticket ($350+), etc. So even if you can't donate at this time please share my GoFundMe link on your socials so it reaches more people.

About me:

I'm CC Pebbles and I've been performing burlesque since the spring of 2017. I got into this art craft because I didn't see people like me represented onstage so I decided to make the leap to be that representation for others and I'm so glad I did. I started hosting Moonday Cabaret in 2020 as an open stage for all performing artists to showcase themselves. Over the years I've watched my local burly community grow with so much diversity. I'm at the point in my journey where I can stand to learn more and work on my craft. I've struggled my whole life with living in poverty as a person of color and not being able to maintain a job due to mental illness. It seems like no matter how hard I try it's still not good enough. But the only light in my life is having the opportunity to dance, make art, and find safe spaces to uplift other performing artists.
