When we first spoke, my sister Christine Carter Conway had evacuated in the Malibu area where she rented a bungalow. “It’s just smoke, Pam, the smoke is real bad, we left but I think we are going to be ok.” She rented on Pacific Coast Highway, it was a very humble, sweet little place. They call it “old style Malibu” because its simple. Real simple, but suited her needs as a single mom. She grabbed her son and their little dog and evacuated.
Christine has two children: Grace and Quinn. Quinn, 17, attends Loyola High School and is a junior starting his college process. Grace, 19, is off at college and living in student housing. They also have a shitzu named Charles.
God is good and we are so grateful they are safe, please pray for comfort and strength for all those affected by this ravaging fire.
There are the obvious heart wrenching losses, pictures, jewelry, clothing, books, yearbooks, but this GoFundMe is dedicated to replacing those items we can.
