Dear Family and Friends,
As the majority of you may know, I am now in my Junior year at The University of the South. Throughout the last three years, I have been civically engaged both on and off-campus. Just over a year ago, I was awarded the James Phillip Cole Award by the Student Government Association for "demonstrating exemplary leadership as a student-athlete to the University within and outside of the athletic domain".
Work that I have done thus far aligns with my life mission, which is to use technology to increase the standard of living for communities globally. As a computer science major pursuing a certificate in Civic and Global Leadership, I am eager to continue to merge my academic and civic passions as they relate to my life’s mission. Cross-cultural education will widen my perspective to do just that!
Soon, I will embark on a major milestone in my undergraduate experience and it is because of the motivation and support I have received from you all over the years that I can do this. I am blessed to share that I will be studying abroad, for 19 weeks at the University of Sydney in Australia during this Spring Semester.
Though I am very excited and humbled by the journey that I am about to embark on, I am lacking the necessary funds to make the best of this experience. My goal is to raise at least $2, 900 by February 20th. If you can make any contribution to my study abroad experience, then it will be greatly appreciated and serve as an investment in my future and life mission.
