My name is Kenil, a 16-year-old who firmly believes in the power of human connection and the sacred responsibility we all share to uplift one another. This belief gives me strength, and it also gives me purpose. No one should ever be brought to such a breaking point to the point they fight everyday for survival. No one should feel that hopeless, that alone. That’s why every time I pass someone living on the streets, I offer what I can—even if it’s just five dollars. It’s not about the money. It’s about dignity. I strongly stand when it comes to say no one deserves to experience this type of pain. One's duty in this world is to make it a better place, and it can be excruciatingly difficult without a right place to start. The goal of life shouldn't be to survive. It should be to make the world a better place by becoming a better person. Everybody deserves a second chance. Everybody deserves hope.
