Calgary Bluesfest family, we have a cherished member of the family who needs our help.
Tim Williams, husband, father, grandfather, and master musician, has recently received some life altering news.
In September, Tim was diagnosed with liver cancer and has been undergoing treatment. Since his diagnosis he has suffered a myriad of health issues in addition to his cancer diagnosis. He is putting up a good fight but has spent a significant amount of time in hospital. His recovery will be many months and it will be even more before he can return to the stage.
Tim’s beloved wife of 34 years, Johanne, is taking good care of him (as are his medical team), and is doing her best to be a caregiver and work full time. Both Tim and Johanne make their living in the arts, which don’t provide much in the way of medical benefits. Johanne is finding it increasingly harder to keep up on one income - the bills are piling up.
Tim and Johanne could use our help. If you can, please support this campaign to offer them some relief from financial worry as they face the months ahead and work toward Tim being strong enough to return to the stage to bring us all his world class music.
