Baby Caleb's Happy Heart Fund
Donation protected
My sweet friend Hannah and her husband Justin recently learned that their soon-to-be-born son, Caleb, has an extremely serious congenital heart defect. Baby Caleb will require open-heart surgery, and likely more than one, within the first few months of his life. Hannah and Justin have so much hope and trust in the Lord that baby Caleb Oneal will stay true to the name that declares him, “whole-hearted and fearless in the face of overwhelming odds”.
Caleb’s heart condition demands that he be birthed at UW Medical and immediately transfered by ambulance to Children’s in Seattle. This is quite different than the home birth the Smiths had hoped for in their home town. We reassure them that Caleb will be blessed with some of the best surgeons in the world. Hannah and Justin are trying to prepare for housing in Seattle, medical bills, and more as they have learned that Caleb will need to be in the hospital for at least a month, probably more. We hope that we are able to earn enough money for them through Gofundme that they won’t have to feel the heavy weight of the financial burdens. We want them to be able to focus all their energy on baby Caleb, their daughter June, and loving one another. They can leave the other stuff up to us, their community who loves them dearly.
I have known my sweet Hannah since she was two years old. It pains me, as I know it does others, to see that she is experiencing even the slightest unknowns regarding her loved ones. My hope is that we can wrap our arms around them and let them know that we care immensely. I cannot wait to meet, play with, snuggle, and kiss sweet Caleb Oneal for more years than he probably would like;) He is going to be the strongest, most whole-hearted little boy that we could ever love. We ask that you help us in making this experience less burdensome for the Smiths by donating what you can to Baby Caleb’s Happy Heart Fund.
Thank you greatly,
Katie
