Hi, my name is Valerie Lovelock, and my family and I have the honor of being friends with Caleb and Michelle Ryan.

Caleb is facing a health crisis that is not only taxing his body but has also caused a financial strain on their family. Caleb was first diagnosed with a genetic disease called Polycystic Kidney Disease at the age of 25. As of October 2022, he was placed on the transplant list at the age of 30. We are currently looking for a live donor, as this will make the transplant process and the removal of his current kidneys that much easier.

On 2/25, Caleb had surgery for an AV Fistula, connecting an artery to a vein in his arm for dialysis access. The fistula will take 4-6 weeks to mature before they can use it for dialysis. Once it has matured, they will schedule a nephrectomy to remove both of his kidneys.
