Caleb’s Road to Recovery After A Life-Altering Accident

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Bailey Taylor, and I'm a close friend of the Carter family. I'm reaching out on behalf of Caleb Carter, a 23-year-old lifelong resident of Newton County, Arkansas, who is now facing one of the greatest challenges of his life. Caleb is the great-grandson of the late Ruby and Leroy Carter, the brother of Garrett McDonald, and a proud 2020 graduate of Jasper High School. Known for his resilience and strength, Caleb was an all-star ball player in high school and, more recently, has been serving his community as a correctional officer at the Newton County Sheriff's Office since 2022.

But on a recent day, Caleb's life changed in an instant. He was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident that resulted in severe injuries, including an above-the-knee leg amputation. Caleb remains hospitalized and is in critical recovery, facing painful procedures, emotional trauma, and an uncertain path forward.

While Caleb does have some health insurance, it won't cover the full extent of his medical expenses, especially not the months of recovery, rehabilitation, and the specialized care he will require. He will need intensive physical therapy, a temporary and eventually a permanent prosthetic, modifications to his home and transportation, and ongoing emotional and mental health support. On top of this, Caleb is currently unable to work, and his family—who are at his side every step of the way—have had to miss work themselves to provide care and support. The financial burden is heavy, and that's where we can step in.

How You Can Help: Your donation, no matter how big or small, will go directly toward helping Caleb and his family manage: hospital bills and rehabilitation costs, travel expenses for treatment, living expenses during recovery, and costs related to prosthetic fittings and mobility aids.
Direct Donations to family via Cashapp: $ccart34 or $heathercarter1313

In-Person Donations: Leave with Charity Richardson at the Newton County Sheriff’s Office.

Caleb has always shown up for his community. Now it's time for his community to show up for him. Please consider giving, sharing this campaign, and keeping Caleb in your thoughts and prayers. Let's help him adjust to this new chapter with dignity, strength, and the knowledge that he's not alone.

From the bottom of our hearts—thank you.
