Hi, my name is Caleb Ratliff and every student's desire is to be accepted into their dream college or university! Well, I must say that dreams do come true. I've been accepted to one of my favorite HBCUs...Morehouse College and just to add I have successfully completed my third year! So now I am a Junior, majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, and my goal is to continue my education at Morehouse College. My vision & plan in the near future is to attend Medical school, so I can obtain a successful career path in the medical field, with hopes to become a medical professional. My career path is to either become an Anesthesiologist or a Sports Medicine Physician. However, now that I am in my third year of college, I have experienced the high cost of trying to receive a college education. There’s college tuition, books, food housing and other expenses. Which can be bit costly especially when it's a private college and being an out-of-state student. However throughout these three years I have been blessed! Many have donated towards my college education. But the there were challenges to get here. Growing up (born & raised) in...Brooklyn, NY where the odds were against me I always wanted better for myself. Knowing that education is an essential key to success, and if I put my mind to it and stayed focused I could overcome any obstacles or challenges that came my way. So I worked hard and diligently throughout my years of schooling to not only make my mom, and family proud but most importantly myself. I maintained good grades to stay an honor roll student. In high school I played sports (Lacrosse) and even worked (senior year) P/T. I was preparing myself to become a Morehouse Man. Coming from a single-parent home, my mother has always done her very best at raising and supporting my younger sister and me. For 4 years, I attended Bishop Loughlin Memorial, a private catholic high school and she has financially put me through schooling, and I am so very grateful and blessed. Now in my third year of college I have already done so much! I have intern with an Morehouse Alumni who is a pediatrician in ATL., I have also had the opportunity to shadow and intern with another Morehouse alumni, at Kings County Hospital in NYC in the Trauma Unit. Lastly, I also intern at Mt. Sinai hospital in NYC with a physician & I also published an article on Men’s Mental Health in Harlem NY. All of this was accomplished over the past summer. So I know my destiny is to be successful in the medical field. And all of this was accomplished while still applying to more scholarships . Even knowing those aren't always guaranteed. But I have goals and dreams so I must continue to go on.

And one of the ways were by reaching out to the community for financial support by making a gofundme college account. This was organized because I didn’t want to put that financial burden all on my mom, and I also don't want to have to worry and stress about college tuition. Especially when my main focus should be on maintaining my studies, and receiving good grades to obtain a college degree. So I'm asking if you would please financially assist me with a donation to fund my college education. This would also motivate me to continue to beat the odds and pave the way for me to become a Successful Graduate of Morehouse College. All donations are appreciated.
