Hi!

My name is Storm Brunni and I am raising money for my husband, Caleb Wynn.

Currently Caleb is in end stage lung failure due to a genetic disease called Cystic Fibrosis (CF). This is something he was born with, and has battled his entire life. Caleb has always taken the challenges of his CF head on, and has been fiercely independent. However, in the last few years he has lost almost 30% of his lung function. Since we have been together Caleb has had 2 emergency embolizations to stop his lungs from bleeding. The most recent one was only performed after losing almost 16 ounces of blood. Because of the most recent procedure his entire right lung is necrotic. Currently transplant patients with CF are some of the only ones who are eligible to receive a double lung transplant.

Through all of his recent trials Caleb still remains optimistic of the future. He is a stay at home dad, and takes care of our 7 year old daughter, 7 month old puppy, and 1 year old hamster. Due to his illness he is no longer able to work in his chosen profession, which was teaching severe profound special needs children.

Currently, we have been fortunate enough for me to be able to be the sole provider of our family in Denver, Colorado. But after transplant Caleb will spend a minimum of 6 weeks in the hospital, and then will need me as a full time care giver once he returns home. We have money saved for the transplant costs, but since his full recovery time is unknown we are asking for help to cover the time lost at my job.
