Caleb Vs. Hirschsprung's #2
Spende geschützt
Hello Friends & Family,
As most of you know Caleb was diagnosed with Hirschsprungs Disease shortly after birth. It has been a tough journey with countless hospilazations, multiple surgeries, illnesses, and daily medical procedures and care. We have travelled out of province to the IWK over 20 times in the past 16 months. After no progress Caleb was referred to the Canadian specialist for Hirschsprungs at the Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto. Caleb had an appointment earlier this week with the specialist, and went under anesthetic for testing today.
The surgeon gave us the news we have been waiting to hear for over a year... He found a problem with Caleb's intestines that he believed is causing the obstruction. He will need another major surgery. They have scheduled him for surgery on Monday.
I immediately smiled with this news. It felt like a light at the end of a long dark tunnel. We are praying this is the answer we have been looking for. We are terrified for the upcoming surgery .... But also have a sense of relief.
Unfortunately with this comes extra costs. We are reaching out to ask for help during this time.
We will keep this page open and update it with Caleb's status throughout this process.
Thank you all for your continuous support.
Amanda & Pierre-Luc
