Living life after trauma
Donation protected
Caleb is a 19-year-old boy who graduated from Tahoma High School in the class of 2022 and recently began his life off with his dream job. On August 17th he was involved in a motorcycle accident in the neighborhood of Maple Ridge where he hit a tree and took a life flight to Harborview Medical Center. His injuries are extensive with multiple broken bones and internal bleeding. We are still waiting to find out what his future will look like. He has had four surgeries to date with the possibility of more in the near future. The main concern at this point is the damage to his spinal cord. Caleb has lost all feeling from the waist down and the doctors don't expect that to improve. Life for him is going to look a lot different and we are asking for help to get him set-up for what's to come. With all the hospital bills, medical equipment he will need, and housing modifications to accommodate a wheelchair, it's going to be overwhelming on top of adjusting to a new lifestyle and maintaining his mental health. We appreciate everyone from the community who has reached out to check in and all your prayers. Caleb's medical team has stressed the importance of a strong support system to help during his long road to recovery. All donations will transfer into a high-yield savings account to gain momentum while we wait for him to return home and find out what his needs will include.
