Donation protected
Funds raised will help with accommodation and travel costs for family while they support him in his recovery over the coming days and weeks. The duration and extent of his recovery is unknown at this time. Specialized equipment and modifications to his and Andrea's home will be required for him to come home post rehabilitation .
Caleb was injured on March 31st in a bike accident resulting in a neck fracture that required surgery to remove bone shards and stabilize his spine. Caleb currently has significant amounts of swelling in the spinal cord from the t5-c2 and in his neck area. His new spinal cord is injury is in the c4-c5 area which presents a whole new set of challenges. His mobility is severely reduced. He is currently not able to use his hands or move independently and is struggling with lung and throat functions. But there is hope the lung and throat functions will improve as the swelling from the injury and surgery goes down.
