Hello my name is Jarrod and I’m Caleb’s father. He is a very proud member of law enforcement and was ejected from his patrol vehicle on his way to a emergency call on Friday May 12th. He is a very independent man and has been persistent about not wanting any help other than prayers and positivity. For the most part he’s covered by workers compensation but he can’t do anything extra for work to supplement his income. I’m doing this because there has been alot of people saying that they want to help. Caleb has also said if people did do anything that he wanted to set up a fund to help other first responders that are involved in similar situations. Thank everyone who has been involved in this and for their support and help to make this a better situation for everyone involved. Thank you all so much for your donations and support. Caleb is doing better. He had his last surgery on Friday but he’s still in the hospital until the doctors are able to get his pain managed and make sure that he doesn’t have any other issues with infection or anything else. He is still very positive and looking forward to getting back to his home and eventually going back to work as a deputy for Polk County Sheriff and I have complete faith that he’ll accomplish this. Again anything that he does not need from this will be put in another place to help other first responders and their families with similar needs.
