In Loving Memory of Caleb Berry – Supporting Kristie & Keiri’s Future
Caleb Berry was a bright, hardworking young man with his whole life ahead of him. At just 21 years old, he was working full time as a labourer with a propane company and was excited to begin his apprenticeship as a gasfitter, taking the next big step toward building a secure future for his family.
Caleb’s greatest pride and joy were his partner, Kristie, and their 18-month-old daughter, Keiri. While Kristie worked part-time, she devoted most of her time to raising their beautiful baby girl. Caleb worked tirelessly to provide for them, dreaming of the day he could give Keiri every opportunity he never had. Together, he and Kristie dreamed of a wedding, a growing family, and a long life built on love, hard work, and hope.
Tragically, those dreams were taken from them far too soon. Caleb lost his life in a devastating traffic collision caused by another person’s error. While stopped and waiting to turn into the driveway of his workplace, Caleb’s vehicle was struck from behind and pushed into oncoming traffic, where it was hit by a Dodge Ram. His small sedan—and Caleb—had no chance of survival.
Like many young families just starting out, Caleb did not yet have a will or life insurance in place. Kristie is now left to navigate unimaginable grief while also facing the overwhelming reality of providing for Keiri on her own.
Our number one priority is to ensure Keiri’s future is protected and that Kristie has some financial stability during this heartbreaking time. All funds raised through this campaign moving forward will be placed directly into a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) for Keiri, to support her future education and help keep Caleb’s dream of opportunity alive through his daughter.
