Calcutta Connect India Immersion Project
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
My name is Lauryn McNamee, and I have an incredible opportunity coming up in February 2025! I’ve been chosen from a group of students at St Colmcille’s Community School to travel to India and volunteer with the amazing charity Calcutta Connect. For one week, I’ll be helping to educate and inspire children and young people in need.
To make this meaningful journey possible, I need to raise at least €1,000 for Calcutta Connect by December. Every cent of this fundraising effort will directly support their essential work, helping to provide education and opportunities for those less fortunate.
As part of my commitment, my family and I will be undertaking a gruelling hike over the Wicklow Mountains on November 10th. This challenging adventure symbolizes the dedication I have towards this cause, and I hope it shows just how important this mission is to me.
As an Irish dancer and fluent Irish speaker, I’m passionate about sharing our rich Irish culture with others, and I can’t wait to bring that to the children in India. I’m also eager to learn from them and their unique culture, building connections that go beyond borders.
If you’re able to contribute, whether it’s a large donation or just a few euros, it would mean the world to me—and to those we’re supporting. Every bit helps to make this vision a reality.

Thank you so much for your kindness and support. Together, we can make a real difference in these children’s lives.
With gratitude,
Lauryn McNamee
