Calamity on the Dancefloor

Donation protected
On the night of April 20th, our friend and coworker, Anna Marie was making her way across a crowded dancefloor, when an enthusiastic stranger attempted to twirl and dip her...but slipped! Falling on the concrete proved unkind, and after a long night in the ER, surgery was scheduled for the following day. She had broken all three major pillar connectors in her ankle: the tibia, the fibula, and the talus. After her ORIF surgery (Open Reduction Internal Fixation/reconstruction), she now has a rod, pins, screws, and a plate holding her together.

As you might imagine, the recovery time is lengthy (10 weeks) and she can't drive or walk during the healing process. She's incurred some out-of-pocket medical expenses and is out of work for the duration of her recovery.

She has basic health insurance, and will certainly be meeting her $8500 deductible! She's applied for CoA assistance with utilities but has been told that can be a lengthy process. She could really use some help to pay her out-of-pocket medical bills, along with 2.5 months of living expenses while she's out of work. If you know Anna, you're familiar with her compassionate nature and willingness to help her friends in need. This is the time to return that care. If you have the resources to donate, any amount will help! And if you're not in a place to donate at this time, we truly appreciate you sharing her story with others who might be able to help. Thank you!
