Support Jon Banh's Emergency Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Hello everyone! I am writing today on behalf of one of my close friends, Jonathon Banh. Jon is a second-year Computer Engineering major at Cal Poly. Jon enjoys going to the gym, getting boba, and spending time with his friends. This past Monday, 2/24, while Jon was biking to his 8 am class, he was involved in a bike accident on campus, where he flew off his bike, hit his head on the ground, and was rushed to the trauma emergency room. He spent the next four days in the intensive care unit in critical condition with a brain bleed. When Jon’s brain bleed becomes stable, he will be transferred to a rehabilitation hospital closer to his home. He is taking the rest of this quarter to recover from his brain injury and marking this winter quarter as incomplete. As Cal Poly students or parents of students, you probably understand how unfortunate it is to have an injury of this severity occur in the middle of the school year. It made me realize how fragile life is and how quickly things can change, even if you're just going to class like any other day.
As Jon’s friends, we felt it necessary to do anything we could to help him and his lovely parents which is why we created this Go Fund Me. Any donations made will go directly to Jon and his family as they pay for hospital bills, travel expenses, and anything else Jon may need through his recovery process. Please consider donating to help a fellow classmate of yours or your child.
Thank you in advance for your time, consideration, and donations!
Best Regards,
Alyssa McCulloch and Anika Schmidt
