Caitríona & Cian's Cycle to Thurles

In 2010, Cian and Caitríona met a group of 30 former child soldiers in Aloi, Uganda. They had been abducted by Joseph Kony and the Lord's Resistance Army, and were, at the time, struggling to settle back into their villages. Many of them no longer had family members alive.
We returned there to work with them in 2013 for 6 months, and made a committment to sponsor their school fees, at a cost of €10,000 per year. Education is the one thing they all requested help with, because they had missed out on so much while being used a child soldiers.
We work directly with the schools/colleges in Aloi and Lira where these pupils attend and ALL money raised goes directly towards their school fees. These young people are doing incredibly well at the moment, and your continued support for them is really appreciated.
Our annual fundraising cycle (from Dublin - Thurles) will take place on Saturday April 6th and we are hoping to raise €2,500 for the school fees from this event, with the support of a number of people cycling on the day!
