Caitlyn's Medical Fund

Im starting this fund for my daughter Caitlyn Trombley.  A year and a half ago she was diagnosed with a rare disease called Vhl (von hippel-lindau).  Its a genetic disease where the gene that is suppose to surpress tumors doesn't work.  When you have Vhl it can cause tumors in your brain, spine, kidneys, and the blood vessels behind your eyes.  After receiving her results we started seeing doctors at Devos Children's Hospital.  They started running tests as a starting point to go from never thinking they would find anything,  but they found a tumor in her brain.  The doctors thought it was best to just moniter it, so for the last year she has under gone mri's every three months to check for growth.  So far the tumor has grown a little, but at her last visit they discovered a second tumor in her brain stem.  This was not what we wanted to hear.  We thought maybe the tumor she had, had grown causing her headaches, heaviness and pain she was having.  After the initial shock, we discussed what the next steps were.  The doctors here at first thought radiosurgery was the next step.  After further discussion they decided they couldn't do anything here for her.  They said we needed to go elsewhere for help.  They are now in the process of sending all of her results to MD Anderson in Houston, TX and to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.  We are now looking at having to travel quite a distance to get the proper help she needs.  This is going to be an extreme hardship for us as a family not only emotionaly but financially too.  We are not ones to ask for help, but having to leave our home and travel quite a distance to get the help Caitlyn needs, we are faced with just that.  We are unsure how long her treatment will be, or what it will entail.  If you can help us in any way, be it with money or just saying a prayer, it will not go unappreciated.
