As most you know I’m Caitlyn’s sister , on behalf of my parents Robert and Janitta I have created this go fund me page as a lot of people have been wanting to contribute to her funeral to give her a beautiful farewell , A little bit of a backstory , our beautiful Caitlyn has been battling a very rare tissue cancer called sarcoma , Caitlyn had received multiple surgeries and operations to remove the cancer, Caitlyn had been in remission and on the road to recovery hoping to finish chemotherapy and ring the bell in early march , unfortunately 3 short weeks ago Caitlyn had went into the chris O’Brien lifehouse hospital where she was receiving her chemotherapy treatment , Caitlyn had proceeded to do MRI and CT scans where they had noticed shadows in her brain and lungs a few short hours later Caitlyn had been confirmed that the sarcoma cancer had returned and progressed spreading aggressively and fast , she then underwent a brain surgery removing two large bleeding tumours , Caitlyn was then sent home hoping to return back to hospital to receive laser radiation on the frontal lobe of her head to hopefully remove some other smaller tumours , Caitlyn was discharged and sent home to rest until she was strong enough to receive her radiation treatment however after 4 days of being at home Caitlyn started to feel nausea , headaches , pressure and soreness on the area around her head , she was then rushed to hospital on a Sunday morning where they had confirmed the tumours sitting in her frontal lobe had grown in size and started bleeding , unfortunately doctors and nurses could not see where the bleeding was coming from as the amount of tumours had accumulated in just those short 4 days Caitlyn was then transferred to ICU , Our parents had then received a phone call to make a decision weather to carry on with further surgeries or to stop all treatments , a short time before my parents could create a decision the doctors had contacted them alerting them that they can no longer go forward with any procedures or surgeries and Caitlyn would receive palliative care , Caitlyn had been admitted to a regular hospital room in Chris O’Brien lifehouse after admitting into that ward Caitlyns condition had increased diagnosed with stage four brain and lung cancer where she started to deteriorate dramatically to the cancer , sircumming to the disease on the 07.02.26 at 12:56pm, in the end Caitlyn had a very big battle and fought to overcome the disease but unfortunately lost the battle leaving behind two beautiful children Kyarna and Noah , may she rest in peace.
