Hello!
My name is Caitlin! I am currently a senior at Hollins University working towards a B.Sc. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I have been riding horses since I was five years old and, through my love of these four-legged creatures, developed my dream of attending Veterinary School.
Last month, I was accepted into the prestigious University of Tennessee Knoxville School of Veterinary Medicine. I was thrilled! Because I am a Tennessee resident, I receive the lovely benefit of in-state tuition, which comes to $22,500/year. Last week, my FAFSA came in and I was delighted to learn I qualified for $20,500 in federal aid! As much as student loans are a pain, this means I only have to come up with $2,000 for this year's tuition.
I am the oldest of seven children and come from a household of very limited means. My family is extremely supportive of my goals and ambitions, but we are sorely lacking the funding to make this happen. With the funds that I earn through my GoFundMe page, as well as my current jobs, I hope to be able to pay for my first year's tuition and my living expenses. I am so excited to finally make my dream a reality, but I can only do so with your help! Every donation is whole-heartedly appreciated. Thank you for your kind attention!
